It's time for ho-ho-hot chocolate! A classic cup of hot chocolate is a must-have for the festive season. But why not play with flavour variations as well? If you are a mint chocolate lover, then this recipe is perfect for you.
The star of the show: Peppermint
Simply adding a few drops of peppermint oil transforms this simple hot chocolate into christmassy perfection! You can use either peppermint oil or peppermint extract, whichever you prefer, and adjust to taste. If you have fresh mint, you can make a homemade extract and use that as well!
How to use BamNut Milk to make Hot Peppermint Chocolate
We use our BamNut Milk (Barista) in place of dairy milk to make this Hot Peppermint Chocolate extra creamy with a subtle nuttiness. BamNut Milk contains 5g of plant-based protein, is high in fiber, and is made from the Bambara groundnut, a regenerative crop.
1 cup BamNut Milk (Barista)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp creamy salted almond butter
2-3 drops peppermint oil
1 tbsp maple syrup
Pinch of sea salt
Shaved chocolate
Whipped cream
Take all the ingredients and add it to a milk frother.
Turn on high for 1 minute and enjoy!
Take all the ingredients and warm them in a small saucepan.
Enjoy while hot!
