Baking
Bread rolls are a simple, yet versatile side that you can pair with just about any comforting main dish: stews, soups, meatballs, pasta, salad, the list goes on! It can be notoriously difficult to find vegan baking recipes that are faithful to the original creation. But luckily for you, we have a vegan bread rolls recipe for you! Using our BamNut milk, these vegan bread rolls are just as fluffy and light as the OG version, but with an array of added health benefits too!
How to use BamNut Milk to make vegan bread rolls
In our recipe, we replace dairy milk with BamNut Milk, a plant-based regenerative milk made from Bambara groundnuts. Our BamNut Milk is made of 3 nutritious ingredients and has 50% of your daily requirement of calcium in each cup, along with 5g of protein, fiber and vitamins.
½ cup BamNut Milk (Airy)
2 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 packet instant yeast
Salt
¼ cup water
2 tbsp plant-based butter
Combine 1 cup of flour, sugar, yeast and a sprinkle of salt in a bowl.
Heat BamNut Airy Milk along with water and plant-based butter in a pot or pan until butter is melted.
Pour warm BamNut Milk mixture into flour mixture and whisk.
Whisk in another cup of flour. Add more flour if necessary to ensure a dough-like consistency.
On a floured surface, knead dough for 10 minutes.
Cover dough for 10 minutes in a bowl.
Divide dough into 12 pieces, rolling each piece into individual dough balls.
Place dough balls into a greased round pan wide enough where balls are about half an inch apart.
Cover and place in a warm location for 30 minutes, allowing the dough to rise.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place pan with dough balls into oven and allow to bake until golden brown. This may take up to 20 minutes, but be sure to monitor rolls every few minutes.
Serve while hot!
